Bobby's Auto Care Offers Auto Repair Services You Can Count On!
According to recent studies, 5 percent of all motor vehicle fatalities are clearly caused by automobile maintenance neglect.
The cooling system should be completely flushed and refilled about every 24 months. The level, condition, and concentration of coolant should be checked. (A 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water is usually recommended.)
Never remove the radiator cap until the engine has thoroughly cooled. The tightness and condition of drive belts, clamps and hoses should be checked by a pro.
Change your oil and oil filter as specified in your manual, or more often (every 3,000 miles) if you make frequent short jaunts, extended trips with lots of luggage or tow a trailer.
Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended, or more often in dusty conditions. Get engine drivability problems (hard stops, rough idling, stalling, diminished power, etc.) corrected at a good shop.
A dirty windshield causes eye fatigue and can pose a safety hazard. Replace worn blades and get plenty of windshield washer solvent.
Have your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. Check tire pressures once a month; let the tires cool down first. Don't forget your spare and be sure your jack is in good condition.
Check your owner's manual to find out what fuel octane rating your car's engine needs then buy it.
Keep your tires inflated to the proper levels. Under-inflated tires make it harder for your car to move down the road, which means your engine uses more fuel to maintain speed.
Lighten the load. Heavier vehicles use more fuel, so clean out unnecessary weight in the passenger compartment or trunk before you hit the road.
Use the A/C sparingly. The air conditioner puts extra load on the engine forcing more fuel to be used.
Keep your windows closed. Wide-open windows, especially at highway speeds, increase aerodynamic drag and the result is up to a 10% decrease in fuel economy.
Avoid long idling. If you anticipate being stopped for more than one minute, shut off the car. Contrary to popular belief, restarting the car uses less fuel than letting it idle.
Stay within posted speed limits. The faster you drive, the more fuel you use. For example, driving at 65 miles per hour (mph) rather than 55 mph, increases fuel consumption by 20 percent.
Use cruise control. Using cruise control on highway trips can help you maintain a constant speed and, in most cases, reduce your fuel consumption.
Keep your engine tuned. A fouled spark plug or plugged/restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency as much as 30 percent.
Inspect the engine's belts regularly. Look for cracks or missing sections or segments. Worn belts will affect the engine performance.
Have the fuel filter changed every 10,000 miles to prevent rust, dirt and other impurities from entering the fuel system.
Change the transmission fluid and filter every 15,000 to 18,000 miles. This will protect the precision-crafted components of the transmission/transaxle.
Inspect the suspension system regularly. This will extend the life of the vehicle's tires.
"Always a good experience with Bobby and Robin while repairing our two "senior" vehicles. Repairs are quick, even when we have an unexpected repair. My husband, John, is a veteran and we appreciate that Bobby's Auto Care gives veteran discounts and also senior citizen discounts."
"Great Job guys - Honest and dependable without any drama or nonsense. Finding a good mechanic is harder than finding a good doctor and my search is over. They do outstanding work."
"I had another wonderful experience dealing with Bobby and Robin. I went in a couple months ago and got an estimate for work that needed to be done to my car. I saved up and when I finally brought my car in to be worked on the estimate was still right on and Bobby had me back in my car after only two days. My car is driving great!! Such a couple of human beings they are and extremely talented mechanic!"
"I normally do not write reviews. But there are times when I do because the service and honesty should be commended. Bobby's Autocare are very friendly and always trying to make you feel at home when you come to their shop. Prices are very reasonable and Bobby himself is a great mechanic. I would recommend to anyone that is looking to fix or maintain their car knowing that they are getting a fair price and honest service."
"As always, Bobbys Auto Care was a great experience! I got front and rear brakes, oil change, and an issue with my shifter fixed in one day. Bobby made a few calls and got the parts delivered within hours! Of course his wife Robin was a delight as always to speak with and pass the time. They have WiFi AND outlets for your phone charger (thank the Lord haha) highly recommend!"
" I have been to many mechanics, and I am familiar with the surrounding area. Because I had known my mechanic for so long, I had always taken my car there (Ledgewood NJ) but what a mistake! I brought my car to Bobby's Auto Care who came highly recommended from a road side service I used that morning, and was sooooo very satisfied with the results! Not only were they so very friendly that I felt like I was with family!...everything was explained to me in great detail, and their motto is...If we're not honest with our customers, they won't come back...which is so very true! They are reasonably priced, and they even offer some type of credit plan...which I'm not familiar with...if need be! What more can one ask for? To sum things up...I had a wonderful experience, and I will definitely go back, and refer anyone there! :)"
"In short: fast, friendly, and affordable. These are good people who will explain your options and work with you to get your car fixed right without making you spend too much. Bobby works hard and gets work done quickly especially if you call ahead. I refer all of my friends here, but nobody lives nearby. So now I'll refer strangers too. You can trust Bobby's work--and he fixes VWs too! "
"My 2008 Dodge had issues with making noise going around turns with or without brakes. He found the issue quickly and in 1 day had my car back on the road. My brakes were the problem as well as other items within that same area that a normal mechanic could not fix correctly on my car. I highly recommend BOBBY for service of any DODGE truck or car as he knows these vehicles very well and gets them fixed in a timely fashion. Thanks also to the wife who keeps the place together and makes all of the appointments happen when I need them to happen."
"Service was great. They accommodated me even after I realized I missed my earlier scheduled appointment."
"Awesome, awesome, awesome. Have nothing to say but great things about this company. He's always willing and able to do anything for you. I highly recommend Bobby?s Auto Care to anybody looking to Get anything done to a vehicle."
"Excellent Service, Convenient Appointments, Friendly Staff, Competitive Prices! I had gone to my dealership and was told that I needed brakes and tires. I went to Bobby's Auto Care to have the work done and was told that I did need new brakes but that the tires could wait 6 months. It was nice to space out those expenses! "
"The team at Bobby's auto care are amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone. He is great with all vehicles. I feel so comfortable with him doing any work on my car. I know he will do a thorough job making sure everything is safe. Robyn was so great with making me feel right at home knowing my car is in good hands. The communication was superb. I wouldn't use any other mechanic for any work little or big. Bobby's Auto is the best place to bring your vehicle!!!"
"The service this place offers compared to the price they charge is well worth the investment 10 times over. And besides the excellent and timely work they provide, the couple, Robin and Bobby, make their small home business comfortable and inviting. I've trusted my work to no one else since being a first time customer a year ago. Thank you guys so much for everything you do for myself and everyone else!! :)"

"Bobby has been caring for my vehicles for the past 15 years. It is really nice to see him bloom into his own business. Knowing that he is a Jeep specialist and having many years with Jeep and Chrysler, I feel VERY confident that he will be the best person to make any repairs that I may need. I am the third owner of my Jeep, he has cared for it since the original owner brought it home. Knowing this, Jeep Jeep as I refer to her, has over 408k miles and is still running well...Bring your vehicle to Bobby's, I know you will be as happy with his work as I am! He is honest and fair in his pricing!!!"
"The nicest folks in Oxford - definitely take your car here - you won't be disappointed!"
